Fun, Friends, and Follies

This weekend I went to Lubbock for Fun, Friends, and Follies!

Fun
- The whole weekend was full of fun! I took the day off on Friday to start the weekend early. Kristi came to Stephenville and we rode together to Lubbock. It was good to get to visit with each other on the way. When we got to Lubbock we went to Bozeman Elementary where we both taught for two years. Our rooms right next door and shared bathrooms. We have lots of memories of meeting in the little hallway between our rooms or of yelling at each other back and forth (of course this was before or after school or on one of the many Saturdays we spent there.). It was after school and most teachers were already gone, but we got to visit with a few teachers and got to go see our old classroom. We then went to dinner with Amy, Charlie, Abbye and Courtney at Texas Roadhouse. It was fun to get to go out together and to eat somewhere different and yummy!

Friends - Saturday was the day for friends. The day started with the Kappa Alumni Breakfast. Almost everyone from my class was there! It was fun to catch up and reminisce. Then Saturday afternoon, Kristi and I met Jill Anderson, our other teaching partner at Bozeman. We did not get to see her on Friday because she was at a conference. Then, I got to spend time with Sara and her new baby boy Parker. Sara and I used to have long chats when we lived next door to each other in the LCU apartments. It was just like old times!

Follies - Then Saturday night was time for Follies! It is always so much fun to see the different club shows and to cheer on Kappa! There were some really great shows and really great host and hostess numbers! It brought back such great memories of working on a follies show and all the excitement of Masterfollies! Unfortunately Kappa didn't win this year, but it was a great Follies overall! It was also fun because Abbye got to go to her first Masterfollies. I was holding her while Kappa was performing. I would whisper in her ear,"Yeah Kappa!" and she would clap. It was so cute! She seemed to enjoy the part that she was awake.
