Happy Birthday Keaton!

Good morning birthday boy!
On his first birthday, Keaton went to Janamaw's to play with his friends for a little while.  Then after lunch Daddy picked him up. They went home and watched the Rangers win the ALDS, took a nap, and played with Keaton's new toys. When Mommy got home, Mommy, Daddy, and Keaton played, had dinner and then went outside for Keaton's 1 Year Old Photo Shoot. (Yes, we do those a lot!)

Just a few "now and then" pictures to compare.

This is the best bear picture we got. Keaton wasn't very excited about sharing his seat in the wagon with the bear.
1 Month Old

After taking pictures, Mommy and Daddy took Keaton for a ride in his wagon.  This is one of Keaton's favorite things to do so of course we had to do it on his birthday!  He waved at the cars and people outside and talked the whole trip!
After a nice wagon ride, we went inside and opened a few more presents then had a cupcake.

Keaton had a better idea of what to do with the cake this time!
Even managed to get it on his toes!

At one year, Keaton:
  • weighs 23 pounds and is 31 and half inches long
  • is a speedy little crawler.
  • stands up by himself.
  • walks along the furniture or toys.
  • prefers real solid food over baby food. (We are using up what Mommy has already bought and making the transition!)
  • still naps twice a day for anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half.
  • loves to points at things he sees.
  • loves to ride in his wagon.
  • loves to go outside.
  • talks and jabbers.
  • says "ba" for ball. Book and bath also sound very similar but Mommy and Daddy can tell the difference.
  • says "bye" occasionally and waves.
  • is learning how to blow kisses.
  • loves to read books!
  • occasionally says "dada" and only says "mama" when he is upset.
  • is a very happy baby!
