There are not any pictures to record the event, but today Keaton had his first official "blowout". We had our one week check up with Dr. Ong, the pediatrician. Keaton did so good sitting in his carseat and relaxing while we filled out papers and waited in the waiting room. We got back to the exam room and the nurse told us to get him undressed so we could weigh him and SUPRISE! poop was everywhere - on his clothes, in the carseat, up his back up to his neck. It was a mess! So Joey and I got it all cleaned up, got a new diaper on and took him to weigh. By the way, he has gained a pound since Friday, so he is back up to 8 lbs. 14 oz.
After we got back to the exam room we laid him on the table and were waiting for the doctor when all of the sudden the paper on the exam table was wet - now we had a leaky diaper that had to be changed. Two diaper changes in one visit! I had called the doctor last week because we were worried about the lack of dirty diapers and when we told her of today's events she said "He sure did show you!" Dr. Ong also said he is a "beautiful baby boy". We agree!

Blowouts seem to frequently occur in the car seat. I guess it is something about the way they are sitting. Glad you got the first one out of the way; there are many more to come!!! :)
Is there ever a good type of blowout? Don't think so. Just remember...one day he'll grow out of them. He is a beautiful boy!!
