You were right!!! We are excited to announce that we have a wonderful, little boy headed our way around Oct. 2! So excited!

Our parents came to town for the big "Revelation Party" as my dad, Bill, liked to call it. And before we revealed, we set up sacks with gifts that revealed the surprise.


We had the table all decorated as well.

It has been a great day of surprises! We are excited to be having a little bundle of blue joy joining us in October.

NO, we don't have a name, yet. But we are working on it. Afterall, we have a few months, right?

Personally, I can't wait. I always wanted a boy first and a girl second, but after September, I just wanted a healthy baby with 10 toes, 10 fingers and a healthy rest of the body. Now, that we know it is a boy, the first thought in my mind was someone to watch after his mommy when I'm not around. Sports also came to mind, and music. However, mostly, I just pray that this healthy baby boy comes to know God and Jesus, and that he grows up to be a good Christian man.

We promise to do everything we can for that to come true, and we know a lot of you will help in that, too.

Now on to finding some boy stuff, painting, decorating, etc.

God, please bless our little bundle of boy!

Baby Update

Quick update from the appointment today...

We heard the heartbeat for the first time!  It was easy to find and was a good heartbeat. 
Everything looks good!

Go back in 2 weeks for a genetic blood test and checkup then go back in 4 weeks for "the sonogram".  The doctor changed up my appointment schedules so we could find out if Baby Roberts is a he or a she a little sooner!

Baby Pictures and Update

Today we had a sonogram and doctor's appointment.  The sonogram went well.  It is amazing how much the baby has grown and developed in two weeks!  The baby was very active.  He/She was waving at us and kicking and just moving all around.  The heartbeat was in the range it should be and everything looked good.  We got lots of good pictures!  The sonographer said we are one of her favorites, so we got more pictures.  I was going to scan the sonogram pictures, but the scanner would not work.  So Joey took  pictures of four sonogram pictures.  We have more if you are interested in seeing them, but these are the best! :)

"Baby To Bee"

The word is out!  There is a "baby to bee" in the Roberts' family!  We are so very excited and blessed!

Last weekend I went to Lubbock for Masterfollies weekend!  I had a great weekend with the fam and got to see lots of good friends!  While I was there, Courtney gave me this cute frame for sonogram pictures.  This is the best picture from the last sonogram.  We will have another sonogram on March 9th, so look for more pictures!

I am feeling pretty good!  The morning sickness or all day nausea and tiredness is here, but goes away when I have a little snack.  My new favorite beverage is Gatorade.  Joey says we are going to have to buy stock in Gatorade.  We might have to add saltine crackers and animal crackers to that list.

The Snow Day

This morning when I started my drive to Santo I had no idea the adventure I would be in for!  The drive started out not too bad, never got over 40 mph.  Then as I got down the road it started snowing more and had to slow down more.  I was the "leader of the pack" so I drove very slowly with both hands.  All the cars behind me enjoyed driving in my tracks while I was trying to keep from slipping.  I thought I had chosen the path that would be most drive by buses and other school traffic.  As I turned off that way an hour after I had left the house, I discovered maybe not.  I thought I was doing okay until I got to a big hill and got stuck!  I was stuck right in the middle of the road.  One of the other teachers that left Stephenville after me, was right behind me.  So, I called school to let them know and Carol, our secretary said she would let Mr. Gilbert, the superintendent know.  A few minutes later she called me to tell me that Mr. Gilbert was on his way with some help.  So we sat and waited!  I was thankful for a heater and a full tank of gas! After a while, 3 trucks were headed down the hill.  After they assessed the situation, Mr. Gilbert told me they were going to push me over into the other lane were the tracks were better while I steered my car.  So one man went to the top of the hill to stop traffic from coming down and Mr. Gilbert and another man pushed my car.  After lots of steering and pushing, I made it up the hill and continued down the road to school.  After they pushed me out they also pushed out the teacher that was behind me.  I made it in the front door exactly 2 hours after I left the house.  It was quite a commute!  I was very thankful for Mr. Gilbert and the others that came to help!  I am sure (and a little afraid) that today's experience will make it on the "Top 10 of 09-10" at the end of year luncheon!

At 9:45 the decision was made to dismiss school at noon.  We called parents and the craziness began.  At 11:00 most of my morning class was gone, so all the Stephenville commuters began to get ready for our journey home.  I was not the "leader of the pack" this time.  I had already done that for the day!  The drive home did not take as long and the roads were actually better because they had been sanded and driven on more.  It only took a little over an hour to make it home.  I did get a cracked windshield to add to the craziness of the day.  I was so glad to make it home, but had one more battle:  the driveway.  It was already slick.  Once I made it up the driveway, I was so glad to be home!

I just got the call that we do not have school tomorrow!  Our bad weather day was Monday.  We almost made it without using it.  I guess we get a 3 day weekend either way.  The only bad thing is - Valentine's Day Parties will now be on Monday!  What a "sweet" way to start a week!

Well, that's my story...sorry no pictures - my hands were busy holding on to the steering wheel! :)

Hearts All Around!

This weekend I did a little Valentine's Day decorating.  I meant to do it a little early than the week before, but it just didn't happen.  Maybe I will leave it up a week or so after since I was late putting it up!

My favorite - The dining room table!  Could be a romantic dinner for two??  I love my new hurricane vase that I got at Walmart after Christmas for 50% off.  Lucky for me they considered it Christmas decor!  I also love my red charger plate.  They are hard to see in the pictures against the dark table, but are very pretty!
