Our First Gathering!

Tonight we had our first gathering at our house! We had a college devo with about 15 college students and 5 adults! It was so much fun to open our new home up to people! They even saw our guest book on the coffee table and asked to sign it! I was glad they saw it because I forget to ask people to sign!

I cleaned and cooked all day, but it was fun. We had Mexican Stack Up, Brownies, and Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream! It must have been good because there were very few leftovers! After we ate, Joey had an outdoor activity planned and a devo.

We even had a memorable funny moment. I had made a lot of tea and put it in my glass dispenser that has the metal spout that you turn to let the tea out. Well, as I was serving one of the last glasses of sweet tea, I accidentally turned the spout all the way and the spout came out. I had tea coming out the side and bottom of the dispenser. I tried to catch it in cups or cover up the holes with my fingers but tea still ended up all over my cleanly mopped floor. The spout actually ended up in the cup that I was filling, so someone else took that cup to the sink to get the spout out and Joey helped me try to catch all the tea from going everywhere! We did manage to get it fixed and still had some tea left in the dispenser. I am glad that the dispenser was less than half full when it happened! Now, I do have to mop my floor again!

I meant to take a few pictures of our first gathering, but I got so busy in the kitchen that I forgot until after everyone was gone! Well, I guess we will invite them over again and I can get pictures!
