Hello world, on Saturday night, my mommy, Leslye, started having some pretty good contractions. After my daddy, Joey, got home from the football game, those contractions started getting more frequent and more intense.
After taking a bath (as directed by the nurses at the hospital when daddy called), mommy started to feel good enough that both got some time to sleep.
Sunday morning was more of the same, and after a bath and then more pain, mommy said it was time to go see if I can find this place you all call the world.
Well, around 12:30 p.m., we all got to the hospital and they checked us into the delivery suite.
Several hours passed by and multiple family members passed through, but I just wasn't ready to join the fun yet.
Here is mommy and daddy getting ready for me to join the family.Around 3 a.m., Dr. P decided I wasn't going to come on my own, so they were going to have to do a C-Section. Daddy sent out a text message to the family that said, "In the words of the Texas Rangers - It's Time! And we have a ticket to Section C!" (I know, he thinks he is funny.)
Here is mommy getting ready for the fun that's about to begin (isn't she beautiful!?!):Daddy got all dressed out in duds and got to sit in the operating room. He even watched me being born, and then he got to carry me to the nursery:
And here I am world! I came in at 4:40 a.m. weighing 9 lbs, 6 oz. and was 20 1/2" long.
Here I am being weighed:
Here's the group of family members anxiously awaiting my coming (I'm so excited to get to know all of them):
The nurse checked my heart and lungs:
Then another nurse gave me a bath:
Then I got my footprints done:
I wish I could say I was rocking to some cool tunes, but really, I was just getting a hearing test (And I passed my first test ever - one of what will probably be thousands in my lifetime, huh?)
As I said before, daddy got to go with me to the nursery and helped clean me up and played with me and kept me company. Then he got to hold me for a really long time while mommy was in recovery.
Here's my family, aren't we a doozy?
Thanks for all who came and called and texted my mommy and daddy the last few weeks and days and hours. We look forward to a long life of God and fun and happiness and love.
Oh, and thanks daddy for helping me type this.

Hey Keaton - thanks for taking the time to write about your birth and sending pics. They help to realize that you are here. We will always remember that we were in Barbados the day you were born - or is that early morning?
Know what? You are going to be A-Okay as God sent you to a very loving family. Hope you and your Mommy do really good and get to go home with Daddy real soon.
We send our love to the now "family of three".

You guys are going to be fabulous parents and I have no doubt that Keaton will be the blessing we have always know he would be to you guys. Enjoy every minute with him because they go by SOOOO fast!! Keaton, your Aunt Tami, Uncle Jeff and Cody love you so, so much!! We love your parents a lot too!
It was a blessing to be there -- even if Keaton decided none of us needed much sleep. :-)
He is a precious, miraculous gift from God and we were so excited to finally meet him!
Jaxon woke up this morning saying "Do we get to go see Keaton again today?" And Jaden can't wait to hold him again as soon as possible! We love all three of you so very much!
