Nursery Part 1

This past weekend Bill and Donna came to help paint the nursery and make curtains.  We also had a quick run to the metroplex after the furniture saga (I will spare the blog of that saga!).  It was a fun quick run because we went to Lone Star Baby, Babies R Us, and we happened upon a Carters and added some more cute clothes to Keaton's wardrobe.

Here are a few picture of the nursery painting.

We are still waiting for the curtain rod, so I will post a picture of the curtains that Donna worked so hard on.  We all know that I didn't sew a stictch!

This weekend, we are getting the furniture, so look for more updates to come!

PS - I had a doctor appointment yesterday and everything is good!  Keaton is growing and moving around just has he should be!

Let's Go Rangers!

Last night we went to the Rangers game and continued the winning streak.  In the last two seasons, everytime we have been to a Rangers game they have won.  Joey is 14-0 in his Rangers record.  He thinks they should pay him to come to every game!  :)

We had wonderful seats and had a great time!  Joey took the "good camera" and took over 600 pictures!  Not going to upload all those! :)  Here are a few we took after the game with the other camera.

This is the view of the field from our seats.  Right behind the Rangers dugout.  By the way, you can tell Cliff Lee's uniform is new.  It is a different color red than all the other Rangers!
2nd Preggo Pic at the Ranger's Game - Can't wait till next year when Keaton can go with us!
Fun times!  Way to go Rangers!

The Last Few Days

We've been back in Texas for almost a week, so I decided I should post the last few days of our San Francisco trip.

We rode the trolley cars (cable cars) down to the waterfront.  It was much more enjoyable than the walk we took down there on the 4th!
I sat on the bench and Joey hung onto the side.
We rode down Hyde Street.  The steepest street in San Francisco.  I told Joey it was the closest he was getting to a roller coaster this year!  It really wasn't that fast or as bad as I thought it might have been.
When we got down to the waterfront we first went to Ghirardalli Square.  It was the first Ghirardalli Factory, but is not in operation anymore.
We enjoyed the evening on the waterfront walking around and seeing it all without all the people that were there on the 4th of July.  We also went and had some more mini donuts for dessert!  They were so good!
Our ride back!  It was neat to see everything at night.

On Wednesday evening, we rode the BART (train) to Oakland to the A's game. Check another ballpark off the list!  We were not very impressed with the Coliseum.  It was old and not well taken care of.
Not to mention it was very cool!  I have never been so cold at a baseball game before!

We had a great trip, but we're glad to be home!

4th of July

On Saturday, Mom, Dad, and Zach drove Joey and I into the city and dropped us off at the hotel. We have done some exploring and walking and last night we made the long walk to Pier 39 for the 4th of July Celebration.Along the way we got close to Coit Tower.

We also stopped to take a picture at the Fisherman's Wharf sign.
And then we made it to Pier 39.

With all these people. It was a bit crazy!! We did find a place to sit and eat. We were hungry and ready to sit after our walk. Then I waited in what I think may be the longest line ever to go to the restroom. I think Joey took this picture while he was waiting on me.

This 4th of July we traded in homeade ice cream for...

Hot Chocolate and Mini Donuts! The donuts were delicious!

Sitting on the grass waiting for the fireworks to start.

A few firework pictures
The layer of fog was right where the fireworks were, so we had trouble seeing all of the fireworks. The colored fog did have a neat effect. We started walking back up the hill before the show was over and could actually see better.
Hope you all had a Happy 4th of July!

The Beach and The Bay

On Friday, we packed a picnic and headed to the beach and later in the day took the ferry across the bay.
This is the very curvy road down that we drove to get to the beach. Thankfully, Zach drove very cautiously and I tried to get a view of the ocean while keeping my eyes closed. Zach knows this road well because he often rides his bike on this road. Actually he had ridden this route earlier that morning.
This is the one of the many beautiful views Joey took from the car on the way down. The waves were very pretty, but very cold. We only put our feet in the water.
Shasta had a great time playing at the beach.
Our spot at the beach. Not the most glamorous picture of me. This photo could have used some photoshop magic and could have the bottom part cropped off, but Joey is in a meeting! Oh well!

After the beach, we went back to Zach and Ali's house and had a traditional Independence Day weekend meal - brisket and fixings. Then we drove to Larkspur to board the ferry to go into the city. The ferry we rode into the city was the "Napa".

Again, there are many more pictures on Mom's camera that I'm sure will get posted later!

The Golden Gate Bridge

Good Morning from Beautiful, Sunny California!

Day 2 of San Francisco...We spent the morning at Zach and Ali's house. Zach worked from home, so he didn't have to go into the city and we got to visit with him while he worked. I finished my coursework for the week. Mom, Dad, and Joey had a relaxing morning. Then in the afternoon, Mom, Joey, and I drove to an outdoor mall and did a little shopping. We flew all the way to California to shop for Keaton. We went to Pottery Barn Kids and found the dust ruffle that matches the bedding. I was so excited because I had not even seen it online! We also did a little next summer shopping and got some cute clothes for a good price! It was so nice to be walking outside and not even break a sweat! Then, we met Zach and Dad at PF Chang and had a delicious dinner! After dinner, we put on our tourist hats and went to the Golden Gate Bridge view points. We went to a view point on each side of the bridge to get different views for our pictures. A few pictures of the bridge...

And a few pictures of us at the bridge...
Mom thought we needed this picture for Keaton's baby book.

This is my favorite picture of me and Joey even if you can't see much of the bridge.

We had to wear our sunglasses for the picture because when I had mine off I would sneeze every time Zach took the picture. I have some nice sneezing picture that I chose not to post.

Me and Zach, our California Tour guide

We have more good pictures on Mom's camera. I'm sure those will make it on facebook someday. Today, we are headed to the beach. Another update later!
