So as you may have noticed, Joey has been doing the blog posting lately. Between end of school, my ACU courses, and naps, blogging has not been on the top of my list. After being asked this weekend the story of Keaton's name, I decided to post it, mainly for a historical reference for me and for those who are interested.
As many of you know, we have had a girl's name picked out for a long time, before we were even married. Many boy names have been on the list of possibilities, but never one that we both loved. So before the sonogram, we went to Weatherford to buy clothes for the reveal party. One the way home we started discussing boy names because I really wanted a boy name picked out before the sonogram, so if it was a boy we would have a name. We had decided that we wanted a "K" name because "K" is the letter between "J" and "L" and Kaylye, the girl name started with a "K". So we began to name every "K" boy name that we could think of. Every name that I mentioned Joey didn't like, and every name he mentioned I didn't like. Until Joey came up with Keaton. We both liked it but spent several days writing it down and saying it out loud to make sure we loved it! For three days after the sonogram when we found out the baby was a boy all we talked about was his name! Some how we have always been stuck on "R" middle names. It started when we were thinking about names that would have the same initials as Joey's name, but when we decided not to do that we still liked the "R" middle names we came up with. One of the "R" middle names that we have always like was Reese. We liked the way Keaton Reese sounded together, so we had a name!
