We were really hoping that "Landscape Challenge" would ring our door bell or that a landscaper would find us in the aisle of a store and ask to come home with us, but since it didn't happen, we had our own Landscape DIY. (You can tell I watch a lot of HGTV and DIY based on the show references!)
The Before Project - This flowerbed originally had lots of irises in it when we moved in. Last summer, we dug them out and planted some other flowers. We had a problem with water and dirt running out of the flowerbed because of the slope that it is one with the driveway. So that led us to our project.
After Work-evening 1: We took out some of the dirt to fill in holes where we took out some rose bushes. Then Joey laid the pavers to make the border/retaining wall for the flowerbed. Then we added some organic soil and mixed it in with the other dirt.
Finished Project - We finished tonight by adding some more soil and planting flowers and the very cute yard decor!!

wow - this was an educational visit. Good thing mom and pops are here so they could tell me what "DIY". As I recall from my glorious days spent in English literate class, proper grammar calls for comlete spelling of acronyms so the intended readers can understand the author's intent. Onward, the new planter box looks good. I wish I had yard to work in! Love ya
Ok, if you want a real challenge just hop on over to Granbury we are redoing all of our beds so if you are bored just come on over. However, I have a feeling I shouldn't wait on your car to show up in my driveway!
Anonymous - I am assuming this is my brother since he didnt sign his name and only he would refer to the "glory days" of English and grammar with a big dose of sacrasm!!! :)
Jami,
Thanks for the offer but your right there is no need to wait for my car! We eventually would like to redo all of ours but we are starting small!
