New Trick

Keaton has a new trick. He has been making noises with his lips for a while now, but the new trick is the click with his tongue and top lip. Of course, as soon as I start videoing he doesn't do it as much. You can see him click his tongue and lip at the beginning and end of the video.

Keaton also loves to listen to music and sing.  Guess he comes by it naturally.  He loves his personalized Veggie Tales CD that he got for Christmas.  It is playing in the background.  The mirror is also one of his new favorite toys.

Visit with Uncle Zach

Today we went to Ft. Worth to meet Zach for lunch.  He is in DFW visiting college friends after a week in Florida with Dad. We met in the Ft.Worth Stockyards at Cooper's for some good Texas BBQ - Zach's request.

It was so good to get to see Zach and visit with him for a little bit.  Can't wait until he comes back in August and we get to spend more time with him!

Playing with Daddy

This week Keaton and Joey had lots of play time together.  We left Tuesday afternoon to go to Austin.  I spend all day Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning at the TEPSA conference, and the boys had play time.   The boys had a few outings to Golfsmith, the Apple Store, and a few other places. They also spent some time hanging around the hotel and I think there favorite activity was a visit to the hotel pool.

Backyard Pool

On Friday, Joey blew up Keaton's baby pool for the backyard.  Keaton really enjoyed playing in it inside before he got to swim in it.

Playing in the water! Such fun!
Splish! Splash!

Yeah for the water!

Eating up the alligators!

Can't wait to spend more afternoons and evenings in the pool!

Visit with Pawpaw, Nana, and Granny

This weekend, Pawpaw, Nana, and Granny came to visit. We enjoyed visiting and playing with them.  On Saturday, we also went to the Dr Pepper Birthday Celebration in Dublin.  Keaton loved all the book reading with Granny and Nana.

A Visit to Dr Pepper, Texas!

Today we visited Dr Pepper, Texas which on ever other week of the year is known as Dublin, Texas.  We went for the 120th Birthday Celebration of Dublin Dr Pepper.  We toured the bottling plant, the Dr Pepper museum and some of the other happenings of the day.  Joey and I have talked before about going for the tour and museum as something fun to do that is close to us, but never have until today. It definitely was a popular place to be!  Paw-paw, Nana, and Granny are here with us this weekend, so we had a fun outing!

Keaton enjoyed his water while we enjoyed our Dr Pepper!
PS - Just in case you're wondering if I was being lazy and not putting a period after "Dr", you might want to look closely at a can or bottle of Dr Pepper.  After the 60s, the official logo no longer included a period after the "Dr". Just a little piece of trivia that I learned today! :)

Big, bright eyes!

This morning Keaton had a very long nap, and when I went in to get him up from his nap he had his big, bright eyes peeking up over the crib.  It was so cute that I ran back into the living room to grab the camera.  Luck for me, Keaton is very cooperative and continued to play peek-a-book with me and posed, so I got lost of cute pictures!

We were so busy having so much fun this weekend that we didn't take Keaton's 8 month pictures on Saturday.  So last night we we out in the backyard for the monthly photo shoot.

Family Reunion

Sunday we went to Winters to Granny's family reunion.  Everyone posed for family pictures.

Cody, Keaton, Jaden and Jaxon

Granny, Donna, and Bill

Jason, Jami, Jaden and Jaxon

For the record, even though it was calculated that out of the three Roberts siblings, Tami has missed the most reunions, she was there this year. We just didn't get any pictures of her there, but I am sure that she will be in the official reunion photo album. :)
Granny was happy to show off her newest great-grandson!

Weekend Fun!

This weekend Jason, Jami, Jaden and Jaxon came to visit.  I have a few pictures of the fun time we had.  I know Jami has some too, so I will be watching for her blog to steal some pictures or to link to.

On Saturday morning Jaxon and Jaden helped me make Monkey Bread.  They cut up all the biscuits and covered them with cinnamon and sugar.

Saturday afternoon Jaden, Joey, Jaxon, and Jami played games.  Keaton helped Jaden out for a little while.
Sunday morning the boys all got up and watched a few cartoons together before we got ready to leave for Winters to go to the family reunion.
We all had a fun time hanging around the house playing together!

Holden Uganda

Today Keaton is sporting his Holden Uganda onesie.  This is a great organization founded by Snyder residence in honor of their son Holden who as his mother states it best, "was in his eternal home before he was born".  When I read Holden's story it brings tears i my eyes to think of my baby who I only carried for a few weeks and was not able to hold and hear cry, and for this family and mother who carried her little boy for 9 months and was not able to hear his cries or bring him home from the hospital.  For more about Holden Uganda and Holden's story, you can click here to go to the Website.

The best picture of the shirt.

Love the profile picture.

Notice the drool about to trip of his chin.  This is a common occurrence these days!

And his new trick - clapping!
