Cereal Take Two

Soon after Keaton turned 4 months we tried giving him cereal.  He did not like it much at all, so we waited and tried the next week and then again once a week for a few weeks.  He still was not a big fan, so we gave it up for a while.  My plan was to give it a try again over Spring Break, but then he was all congested and on antibiotic.  Last night, we gave it another try and he loved it!  Joey wasnt't home, and I was too busy keeping the spoon going to his mouth to take pictures. Tonight Joey got some good pictures of "take two" of cereal.

5 and half (almost 6) months - Cereal Take Two - His mouth was open and ready for the next bite before I could get it to his mouth!

This is a smile of satisfaction!

Visit to Olney

Friday we made a quick trip to Olney for the Steven Harvey Scholarship Dinner.  Jeff had cooked up some delicious BBQ sandwiches!  We enjoyed getting to see everyone, and Keaton enjoyed be outside on a beautiful day.

Happy Baby!

We are so blessed to have a happy baby! Keaton and I were playing this little game when Daddy got home, so Daddy got in on the fun too! We couldn't help but giggle ourselves!

Paci Practice

Keaton has been hard at work trying to put his paci in his mouth by himself.  Lately when we go in to put it back in his mouth at night, he already has the pacifier in his hand and is trying to get it back in his mouth. Today while in his swing, he did some practicing.

Practice making perfect! Hopefully all this practice will pay off and Keaton will be getting his pacifier back in his mouth at night too!

Basketball

Last week, Joey went to the LSC Basketball tournament and brought Keaton home a surprise - a free promotional basketball!  Yesterday while Keaton and I were listening to the regional basketball games on the radio, Keaton played with the basketball.

Keaton also enjoys playing with his socks!  He was playing on the floor and when I left him to go to the kitchen, both socks were on.  When I returned, this is what I found.  How the sock got that far from him?  Your guess is as good as mine.  Either we have quite the kicker or thrower!

Keaton's First Bible Class

Wednesday night was Keaton's first time to go to cradle roll.  He has been staying alert during church on Wednesday nights and he is sitting up well, so we decided it was time for him to go to cradle roll. He loved it!  When we left him he was smiling, and when we picked him up he was smiling.

Ladies' Man

Keaton love the ladies!  At JanaMaw's house, he is the only boy and loves to watch the little girls play. This weekend, he had a lot of fun playing with Kenna and Abbye.   Keaton and I went to Snyder and then to Lubbock to Brooke and Brodye's shower.  Abbye and Kenna had a lot of fun entertaining Keaton during the shower, and as you can tell from the pictures he loved it!  

5 Months

Friday was Keaton's five month mark! Wow!  Times flies when you are having fun!

At 5 months, Keaton:

• eats 8 ounces four times a day.
• sleeps from about 9:00 pm to 7:00 am
• love to eat his toes
• holds rattles and toys in his hands and looks for them when he drops them
• enjoys watching TV especially love his Baby Einstein, PraiseBaby, and FaithBaby DVDs
• is working on rolling from his back to stomach but only makes it to his side
